Hi I’m Amanda, the Humble Bee Abroad.
On 13th May 2015 I left Melbourne to 'travel the world', starting with Tokyo. My aim was to spend 2-4 weeks or more, in various countries, eating the food, seeing the sites, and meeting new people; all the while working remotely and taking beautiful photographs. After Tokyo, I spent a month in Ireland, before catching the ferry to Scotland.
I ended up finding love and friendship while on what was supposed to be a 4 day trip to the Isle of Islay, Scotland. I lived on Islay for most of 2016 and 2017. Its landscape and wild life are photography heaven.
In October 2016 I completed the Portugese Camino from Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela, Spain with my friend Dave. You can read up on that misadventure, here.
